Coltsfoot Rock. Almost impossible to describe the taste but sort of herbal, liquorice-y, slightly spicy - almost like it's good for you! It's been around for years and was the sort of unusual sweet my dear old Nan used to bring round for us. That and Tiger Nuts and some weird black pod thing I've never seen since!
People who like Coltsfoot Rock absolutely love it.
8 sticks for £1.99
May contain colours and flavourings
Update: The weird black pod things were apparently called Locust Beans, also known as Carob Beans - anyone heard of them? Anyone else eat them as sweets in the Sixties and Seventies?
An absolute classic for all lovers of British liqorice. Hard sticks of shiny black liquorice, shaped like an oar with the word "Bassetti" imprinted on the flat bit. Perfectly designed for dipping into a bag of Sherbet (or Kali if you're from north of Watford or even Keli if you're north of the border!)
