Cadbury's CurlyWurly. As 70s as The Good Life, the Ford Capri or your Dad's sideburns!
Launched in 1971 and relaunched in 1976 (allegedly because the chocolate kept falling off!) these chocolate covered caramel bars are an absolute icon.
Remember the adverts with Terry Scott (from Terry and June) dressed as an oversized schoolboy? Very disturbing! As I recall he used the same voice he later used for Penfold in Dangermouse.
An absolute classic for all lovers of British liqorice. Hard sticks of shiny black liquorice, shaped like an oar with the word "Bassetti" imprinted on the flat bit. Perfectly designed for dipping into a bag of Sherbet (or Kali if you're from north of Watford or even Keli if you're north of the border!)
