Barley sugars are a traditional boiled sweet made since the 17th century and said to ease sore throats and upset stomachs. These are made by Bonds of London and are the old-fashioned round flat shape we remember from our childhoods.
An absolute classic for all lovers of British liqorice. Hard sticks of shiny black liquorice, shaped like an oar with the word "Bassetti" imprinted on the flat bit. Perfectly designed for dipping into a bag of Sherbet (or Kali if you're from north of Watford or even Keli if you're north of the border!)
